When I decided to run for County Council, it wasn’t something I took lightly.
Like many people in our community, I have a lot of responsibilities — work, family, and the day-to-day demands of life. Running for office means adding even more to that.
But I stepped forward because I believe this matters.
Family Is at the Center of It
Everything I do is rooted in my family.
As a husband and a father — especially raising a child with special needs — I see how decisions made at the local level can have a real impact on daily life.
Safety. Stability. Opportunity.
These aren’t abstract ideas — they’re things every family depends on.
Real Life Experience
I’m not coming into this from the outside looking in.
I understand what it’s like to:
- Balance a budget
- Make tough decisions
- Plan for the future while dealing with the present
That perspective shapes how I think about leadership.
Stepping Up
At some point, you either:
- Watch from the sidelines
- Or step up and be part of the solution
I chose to step up.
Not because it’s easy — but because it’s worth it.
Looking Ahead
This campaign has been about listening, learning, and engaging with the community.
And that’s exactly how I would approach serving on the County Council.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about a title.
It’s about doing the job the right way — for the people who call Elkhart County home.
